Biblioteca Națională a Republicii Moldova în contextul tranziției la era digitală

Abstract

În articol a fost sintetizată succint istoria și etapele digitalizării informației în Biblioteca Națională a Republicii Moldova în corelație cu procesul digitalizării la scară mondială: de la crearea cataloagelor informatizate de bibliotecă până la crearea bibliotecilor digitale cu resurse digitizate din colecțiile tradiționale ale Bibliotecii. Au fost studiate minuțios premisele principale și experiențele, care au infl uențat necondiționat trecerea Bibliotecii Naționale la era digitală: crearea primelor cataloage informatizate, sisteme și biblioteci digitale, a fost invocată utilizarea tehnologiilor corespunzătoare procesului la diferite etape ale digitizării, condițiile și metodele de creare ale bibliotecilor digitale. Articolul scoate în evidență faptul că dezvoltarea perpetuă a tehnologiilor informaționale va permite realizarea unor obiective inabordabile în actualitare: crearea colecțiilor de obiecte tridimensionale digitizate, colecțiilor lumilor realității virtuale etc., destinate satisfacerii exhaustive a exigențelor informaționale complexe ale benefi ciarului modern.

The article tells in a short form the story and steps of digitalization of the information in the National Library of the Republic of Moldova, in correlation with the same process of at the global level: from creation of library’s electronic catalogues to creation of digital libraries, containing the digitized sources from traditional collections of the National Library. Main premises and experiences that influenced unconditionally to the National Library’s change to the digital era were thoroughly studied: creation of the first electronic catalogues, systems and digital libraries, study of suitable technologies on discrete steps of digitization, conditions and methods of creating of a digital library. The article highlights the fact that the permanent development of the information technologies will allow to achieve the targets unattainable for the moment: creating digital collections of three-dimensional objects, of virtual reality worlds etc., with all these intending to pursue the satisfaction of the modern users’ complex expectations and informational requirements.
